Follow all the instructions below if you intend to use mail order.
Use the size table as a guide but following the made to measure instructions will allow us to obtain a very accurate picture how well a standard size suit will fit.
These are available in standard sizes, 6 (x-small), 7 (small),
8 (med), 9 (large), 10 (x-large).
To convey your hand size to BKS for mail order - you can simply photocopy your
hands, palm side down and either fax us on 01395 225244 or email as an attachment
in jpeg format. You will need to place a ruler or tape measure in view to allow
us to assess for any distortion.
( tip: cover your hands with a white towel or similar to help the lighting and ensure the ruler is in view).... see photo
Please remember that if you are unsure at any point, please email
us or call on (01395) 278861.
It is advisable to print these instructions out along with the following measurement
sheet.
These measurements are designed for the cut of a gentleman's suit. Additional and some modified measures are required for ladies' suits. These are featured separately in the ladies section.
Before taking measurements, check that you have all the following to hand:
To ensure an accurate fit, the rider must be dressed in garments
that allow accurate measurement taking.
For the upper body, we recommend either a fastened shirt collar, T-shirt or
thin roll-neck.
For the lower body, we recommend either underwear or thin, close-fitting thermals
and thin socks
If the customer prefers to wear extra garments when riding, then these should be noted - but not worn - when the measurements are taken. BKS recommend one or two layers of slim-fitting, thin thermal underwear rather than bulky sweaters for warmth and comfortable fit. Allowing for too much clothing under the suit results in the fit being too loose for summer riding, when fewer garments are worn.
